VoIP
(Voice over IP): technology that allows
transmitting voice to networks through
IP nets as data packages. In short, VoIP
enables you to talk on the phone via Internet.
One of the advantages of this system is
services integration and structures unification,
but the most important thing is the huge
reduction in telephone costs (a tenth
part of conventional telephones). The
use of Internet to send codified audio
in data form makes this possible. Thanks
to Gateway servers, you can make the call
from a conventional telephone connected
to an IP voice line to any telephone on
the commuted net in the world. This means
that not only can we make calls to another
PC or network connected to the Internet,
but to any wire or mobile phone in the
world. |
