RAID
is a method that combines different hard
disks to form a sole logical unit where
data is stored redundantly. This system
offers higher tolerance to failure and
higher levels of performance than those
in a single hard disk or a group of independent
hard disks.
Tolerance to failure means that the RAID
System protects the disks from data loss
and facilitates its recovery in real time.
Redundancy implies the storage of the
same data in more than one unit. Thus,
if a unit falls, data remains available
in the other units.
At TEM Systems we see a RAID System as
an essential element to enhance performance,
operation timing, and the availability
of the network and data. That is the reason
why we have developed a number of solutions
in connection to these systems. |
